The mission of The Dane Foundation is to provide for the unique needs
of individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
The organization has a special mandate to provide events and programs that foster awareness, understanding, and acceptance of individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers.

Celebrate 50 years of serving individuals with physical and developmental disabilities with us!
This year we are so very excited to celebrate 50 years of serving individuals with physical and developmental disabilities through The Dane Foundation & Ms. Wheelchair USA!
Ms. Wheelchair USA began as a state competition in 1996 and has grown into a national and international pageant phenomenon! In addition to the traditional pageant competition, this year there is Ms. Wheelchair USA All-Stars featuring ten amazing women returning to celebrate and compete for the All-Star title!
The Dane Foundation began with five friends working together to develop a new way to help individuals with disabilities in the community and, twenty years later, continues to serve those with physical and developmental disabilities, their families and caregivers!
We hope you will join us as we celebrate all 2026! Stay tuned for many ways for you to join us in celebration!!

Roll Up Car & Jeep Show Success! Get ready for this year's event June 28th!
Jeeps were rollin' up!
There was Duckin' and Wheelie shots!
There were auction big baskets & awards for entrants!
What a great Sunday for cars & jeeps to roll up, show off, and help The Dane Foundation & Ms. Wheelchair USA!! It was hot but the burgers & dogs were grilling, the games were being played, the Wheelie Shots were being enjoyed and the beautiful cars, jeeps, bikes, and specialty vehicles were loved by all at the event! The second event featured great music by JP Treble and supports by Brubakers in Stow. We can't wait till next year!!! Get your vehicles ready!! Service & Programs
The Dane Foundation provides quality-of-life items throughout the year when an individual or family's application for help has been approved. During the Christmas holiday season, Project Elf serves individuals and their families with quality of life items and Christmas wishes. Visit the Get Help page for an application for services.
The Dane Foundation presents several awareness and understanding programs including Ms. Wheelchair USA, Miss Teen Wheelchair USA, Truck or Treat with the Haunted Trail, Understanding U, and more. Visit the various event pages on our site for details and more information.
