Everyone collects something, right? The Celebrity Art Auction, benefits The Dane Foundation, and gives everyone the chance to become an “art” connoisseur and collect one-of-a-kind celebrity artwork…something no one else will ever own…this artwork can and will never be duplicated!
The funds raised from the auction of these precious pieces, will provide a quality of life enhancement for those with physical and developmental disabilities. Disabilities may occur at birth or may be caused later in life due to an illness, accident or physical trauma.
The one-of-a-kind, Celebrity Art Auction will feature hundreds of celebrity created pieces of art, doodles and memorabilia designed by television stars, admired sports figures, award winning singers, magicians to politicians, soap stars to movie stars! The Celebrity Art Auction is accompanied by a live production with all the makings of telethons-gone-by, with a touch of a modern, techno, Home Shopping Network! All of this excitement is wrapped into four hours of information and fundraising for children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities in 2024. The live broadcast will be celebrity hosted, along with celebrity and volunteer manned phone banks and auction boards. All of the artwork and accompanying memorabilia will be professionally framed and prepared by a local gallery, in a variety of treatments, included in the bid pricing. “We simply did some doodle digging with all the celebrities we could think of…most are more than happy to send us their scribbles or, in many cases, their works of art!” Dr. Lowery D. Lockard, executive producer, JCML Entertainment said.
Bidding will open on soon at www.TheDaneFoundation.org. Artwork can be viewed, and bids can be placed online up through the live auction deadlines. Viewing of the artwork, celebrity appearances, entertainment/concert and final bids will be taken during the live telecast slated for November 2024. Specific telecast and final bid dates are expected to be announced later this fall. The event is being produced by JCML Entertainment, and will be a national telecast and have live stream applications for bidding, an app, and options for accessing entertainment events and other opportunities throughout the live event weekend. Specific schedules and linking opportunities will be announced via social media, The Dane Foundation and JCML Entertainment websites.
Proceeds from the Celebrity Art Auction and telethon related activities will benefit The Dane Foundation providing for the unique needs of individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. This national organization, founded in 2005, has a unique mission coupled with a mandate to provide public awareness and understanding of individuals with disabilities. The Dane Foundation offers a unique and nonglamourous support to this part of our society. While their disabilities may be diverse, all have similar needs: personal, educational, social, and recreational. All groups hope for social understanding and acceptance. Unlike other organizations and insurances, The Dane Foundation focuses on providing the "things' that aren't typically provided by other sources that contribute to an individual's quality of life. These "things" like toilet paper, paper towels, household cleaning products, shampoo, personal toiletries, bath towels, bed sheets, etc. These simple items offer daily comfort, quality of life, and enhance the world of those living and overcoming different challenges.
