The Dane Foundation is the provider of quality-of-life items for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. These items are new or gently used, and will be either purchased through organization funds or provided by personal, individual, or corporate donors.
The quality-of-life items include, but are not limited to, personal hygiene and toiletry items like shampoo, toothpaste, toilet paper and paper towels. Bedding, cleaning supplies, household items, bath towels, underwear, adult incontinence supplies, diapers, mattress protectors, wheelchair accessibility ramps, shower chairs, and similar accommodation items that are also considered non-necessary under most medical plans, but are part of The Dane Foundation’s product list. Some adaptive equipment like adaptive car seats, gate trainers, specialized walkers, standers, and adaptive toys are also available to those we serve.
The Dane Foundation provides these “quality-of-life” items to individuals with qualifying disabilities, free of charge. The organization provides items and services throughout the year, at the request of individuals with disabilities or a request submitted by a representative like a service coordinator, social worker or residential manager that helps individuals with their services and residential needs.
